Welcome to PORTAIR

Local authorities are required to review and assess air quality within their statutory boundaries according to the timetable set in the national Air Quality Strategy (AQS).

This process is carried out under the Local Air Quality Management (LAQM) regime that provides a platform for working towards achieving the National Air Quality Objectives (NAQOs).

In order to meet the above statutory requirement,we carry out a periodic review and assessment, a combination of air quality monitoring and detailed modeling (When and if required) of the air quality at known air pollution hotspots.

The comprehensive outcome of this process is posted here to provide the City's residents and visitors with information on local air quality.
